Hi Dave, yes I'm familiar with GDrecon - I've asked a few questions on their forum about uniforms and stuff.

I have been thinking of forming some sort of GD airsoft group, but I'm really not sure of the format. I don't want to start something that takes up too much time from those involved, since we all have busy lives already. That said, it is nice to belong to a group of like-minded people. Any ideas on how to develop it further would be most welcome.

As well as yourself, we also have Shellshokt and Helga on this forum with GD loadouts. 8)

Hi Steiner

I know who you are now - or rather I have been told about you -

Nothing bad - Neil on the GD Recon. forum mentioned that you were a visitor from airsofting the other day in reply to my thread, asking if any of the GD crowd skirmished. I wanted to know if any of them were interested in hooking up at Fireball, but none of them play -

As for developing the GD team idea - understandable comment about not wanting it to be too demanding on time - who isn't busy? However, it would be nice to gather together a small group of like minds and interests. I guess the obvious place to start would be to get people together at a site - :?: I don't know how far apart we all are, but I don't mind travelling for something if we can arrange a meet in advance.

I haven't even played yet - that's how green I am  My first game will be at Fireball. 2nd June. Definitely think we should run with it though.

Dakka-dakka-dakka :D

Bournemouth ... York  I'd say I'm quite far away  there is talk afoot of Che and Fandanglos joining GD (cos they jealous of my swish cuff title  )

Sounds like some of us like minds are quite a distance from one another - I have the good fortune (some may disagree with that assessment) of being in the Midlands - Solihull, to be precise - close to motorway connections and kind of equidistant from lots of other places.

Good to hear we might have some other interested parties. I don't have a swish and funky GD cuff title yet - being a new recruit to the living history unit means I have to earn my stripes :D

But hey, it does look cool - as do the GD cyphers on the shoulder boards -

I'm in the process of putting together a set of GD kit too. I decided against Hohenstaufen SS in the end as i'm not overly fond of camo and just prefer the Heer uniform, so i've recently ordered and received an M36 uniform and GD insignia.

It could be a while before i'm up and ready to game though, the kit's getting expensive now! :D

 It's all lies, I tells ya! I think we're fairly spread over the whole country. Maybe if we all turn up to an event, we could be together?

I'm up for Gross Deutschland Unit Steiner. Not quite accurate for Normandy '44, but maybe CIA may consider an Eastern Front battle later in the year when it

Not mine I may add, I was GD first, someone lost a shoulder board at Arnhem and decided on an upgrade  I merely stiched it on in his absense along with new shoulder board buttons (not to mention the two caps I just sewn the trapeziods on)

Stitched out now

Howdie Helga

Nice looking tunic - where is it from? I'm definitely on board for the GD unit, too. Already part of the GD Recon LH group so my boards are piped yellow - unfortunately I don't have a half-track to bring along -

My good lady is feeling a bit like you I think - stitched out, having just sewn all the insignia on the tunic and ski cap.

Hope to meet you soon - :D

He's only copying me  and seeing as mines not on this thread and my headless shot has disappeared in this weeks events (does that mean it was my pics fault the site crashed  ) here it is again :D

The High Command said they were considering Stalingrad at Phoenix Urban - inside those warehouses just reminded me of Stalingrad straight away.
